Job Title: Fashion Product Engineering Manager - 4 month contract, onsite London 5 days per week

The client:

Global leading fashion house.

Overview:

Lead the garment technical team through design, development, and production processes, ensuring styles meet quality, cost, and delivery standards. Focus on construction, methods, machinery, and quality to achieve 100% on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the garment technical team to deliver seasonal developments aligned with the Critical Path.

- Collaborate with London technical design on new product strategies and construction details.

- Conduct design risk assessments and propose solutions with cross-functional teams.

- Oversee Proto processes, attending fit meetings in London as needed.

- Ensure accurate and timely Technical Specification Packs for factories.

- Approve production Kit Samples and authorize bulk production with the Pattern Technical Manager.

- Monitor team performance against business KPIs and objectives.

- Support team development with personal growth plans and departmental goals.

Profile Requirements:

- 3+ years' experience in a similar role.

- Degree in Textiles/Fashion with garment industry expertise.

- Strong knowledge of garment construction and fit (rainwear/outerwear experience is a plus).

- Hands-on manufacturing experience, including training machinists in sewing methods.

- Proven team leadership and management experience.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, Adobe, and Office Suite.
