Job Description

We seek a talented Freelance Midweight Graphic Designer to join a prestigious luxury brand on a contract basis. The successful candidate works closely with the creative team to develop high-quality visual assets that align with the brand’s identity and values. This role requires a strong eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst adhering to strict deadlines.

Job Duties

  • Create compelling and visually engaging graphic designs for digital and print media, including marketing campaigns, packaging, social media content, and brand collateral.
  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to understand project objectives and translate them into effective design solutions.
  • Ensure all design work maintains consistency with the luxury brand’s established style guidelines and quality standards.
  • Prepare and deliver final artwork for production and digital publication, ensuring accuracy and technical specifications are met.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to support brand growth and visual storytelling.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising workload to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Review and amend designs based on feedback, maintaining a flexible and collaborative approach.
  • Stay informed about current design trends, techniques, and technologies relevant to the luxury sector.

Required Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related creative discipline.
  • Proven experience of at least three years working as a graphic designer within a professional environment, preferably within the luxury or premium brand sector.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of high-quality design work aligned with luxury branding.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications or continuous professional development in design is advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum of one to three years’ experience in graphic design, with a demonstrable focus on luxury or high-end brand projects.
  • Experience working within fast-paced environments managing multiple projects and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Exposure to both digital and print design processes, including preparing files for production.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and composition.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Familiarity with luxury market trends and consumer expectations.
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics or video editing is beneficial but not essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a luxury brand or premium retail environment.
  • Knowledge of print production techniques and workflows.
  • Experience with user interface design or web design principles.
  • Understanding of brand strategy and the ability to interpret creative briefs effectively.

Working Conditions

  • This role is based in London and requires full-time hours on a contract basis.
  • The working environment is office-based with occasional requirements for remote work.
  • Standard working hours apply, with occasional flexibility depending on project demands and deadlines.
  • The role involves regular use of computer equipment and design software.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams within a professional and creative atmosphere.
